This is a song I made out of boredom over the lockdowns of summer 2020. I released a music video for it on October 30, 2020, which signaled the beginning of my extravagant music career. I later rereleased it with a couple unreleased songs (also about monkeys). These songs came from an album I was planning on releasing in 2021, called Joe's Monkey Album. I planned on releasing a music video for the song Monkeys In Space, which was a direct sequel to The Funky Monkey. It was supposed to feature stock photo monkeys in a space ship fighting aliens, but it ended up being really complex and working on it took up all my time, so I ended up scrapping it. I was so burnt out from making this video that I ended up cancelling the whole album.
My first full length album. I released it on May 1, 2022. It was inspired by kids at school being annoying to me. I decided to make a half-assed album to get them to leave me alone. They really wanted a sequel to The Funky Monkey. I released a music video for the Worm Song on August 7, 2022. I planned on making a music video for Bugs in the Medical Field, but that never happened. It was supposed to be claymation.
